QUESTIONS, ANSWERED.
How do soft and hard enamel pins differ?
Soft enamel leaves color below the raised metal lines; hard enamel is filled and polished to a more level surface. Choose based on the feel and look you need.
Which backing should I choose?
Butterfly and rubber clutches are common starting points; locking clutches, safety pins and magnets can be requested. Tell MGM the fabric, use and any restrictions before confirming the attachment.
Can a pin include a cutout, spinner or dangling piece?
Include every moving part, cutout and attachment in your artwork notes. These affect the outline, balance, assembly and production quote.
Will small text reproduce clearly?
Provide a vector logo or a high-resolution source and the finished size. The production proof identifies lettering or color areas that need simplifying.
Can I order multiple designs or backer cards?
List the quantity for each design and specify the card size, printed text and packaging. Each design and tool is reviewed in the quote.
What should I include for a team trading pin?
Include the team name, season, location and roster if needed. Check spelling and confirm the completed outline and size before approving production.
Can I request sliders, spinners or dangling parts?
Describe each moving component and how it attaches. Clearance, balance and construction must be checked with the production artwork.
Can individual player numbers change?
List the wording, number and quantity for every version. MGM reviews whether separate tooling or printing is appropriate.
Can both sides use different artwork?
Provide separate front and reverse designs. Keep key text inside the outline and review the relationship between relief, metal borders and enamel areas.
How do I choose an edge?
A plain, rope, reeded or cut edge changes the perimeter detail. Tell MGM whether you also need edge lettering; it is a separate production request.
Can I include sequential numbering?
State the starting number, number of pieces, position and duplicate restrictions. Confirm these details in the proof and quote.
Can I combine 3D relief with enamel or printing?
Share the relief and color placement separately. The team reviews which areas can be filled or printed and how small details will reproduce.
What affects the coin price?
Diameter, thickness, base metal, relief, number of sides, plating, color areas, edge, extras, packaging and quantity all affect the quote.
Can one order have gold, silver and copper pieces?
Enter a separate quantity for each finish in the medal configurator. The total quantity combines all finish quantities.
Can I personalize the reverse?
Specify names, placement, dates and whether each medal has the same or different text. Engraving suitability is reviewed with the selected process.
How do I choose a ribbon?
Choose stock ribbon, custom ribbon or no ribbon. For custom ribbon include width, colors, printed text and repeat pattern.
How do I plan around an event date?
Provide the required arrival date and delivery destination. Production and transit are reviewed separately before MGM confirms a schedule.
Should I choose embroidery, woven, PVC or print?
Embroidery emphasizes stitched texture; woven construction supports finer detail; PVC provides molded depth; print supports full-color artwork. Send your application and design for a process recommendation.
What does embroidery coverage mean?
Coverage describes the part of the base fabric covered by stitches. It changes the visual texture and can affect the production quote.
Which backing suits my garment?
Sew-on, iron-on, hook-and-loop and temporary adhesive serve different uses. Confirm the garment fabric, heat tolerance, attachment strength and washing requirements with MGM.
How do merrowed and cut borders differ?
A merrowed edge gives a raised stitched perimeter suited to compatible outlines. A cut border can follow more detailed shapes; final suitability depends on construction.
Can you match a thread or fabric color?
Provide the supplier reference or a physical sample. Digital colors are planning references and must be checked against the actual material.
How should I clean a patch?
Follow the garment and confirmed patch/backing instructions. Avoid guessing a heat setting from a screen preview; ask for a care specification when ordering.
Which attachment should I request?
Split rings, clasps, carabiners and ball chains suit different uses. Include the intended load, attachment opening and finish when requesting a quote.
Can both faces have different designs?
Send front and reverse artwork and specify if either face needs engraving, enamel or printing.
Can the keychain include an opener or rotating part?
Add the functional requirement and intended size to your brief. The proof must account for opening clearances and assembly.
Can the marker be supplied with a hat clip?
Specify marker only, hat clip, divot tool or a holder. Confirm the metal and magnetic construction before approval.
What matters for small marker artwork?
Keep fine details legible at the finished diameter. Include a source logo and request a production proof before ordering.
How do engraving, etching and printing differ?
Engraving and etching mark or recess the metal; printing places color on the surface. Compare them using the required text, finish and desired feel.
Can I include a QR code?
Provide a working destination URL and a high-quality code. Review readability, contrast and quiet space at the final physical size.
Can I request cutouts?
Include the complete outline and specify areas to remove. The team reviews structural strength and any sharp or fragile details.
How do I specify the attachment?
Provide belt width, loop or hook construction and any fit requirements. Dimensions must be reviewed with the reverse-side construction.
Can the design include relief or stone settings?
Mark the raised, recessed and decorative areas separately and confirm the setting method and finish in the production proof.
How should I choose the lanyard material?
Specify the desired width, feel, printed or woven artwork and intended use. Material availability and construction are confirmed with MGM.
Which attachments should I include?
List the hook, clip, buckle, card holder and any breakaway requirement. A safety or breakaway feature must be explicitly specified and approved.
Can my tag include a writable address area?
Specify a writable panel, removable card or printed details. Keep private address information out of publicly shared design examples.
What should I specify for the strap?
Provide the bag attachment type, strap material and opening size. The attachment and tag construction are reviewed together.
What artwork should I send?
Send a vector file when available, or a clear PNG/JPG/PDF plus the exact wording. Keep editable originals and tell MGM if you need design assistance.
When does production begin?
Production follows the approved proof and confirmed order/payment arrangements. Include any event deadline so production and transit can be reviewed separately.
What if I need a sample or a change?
Use the sample request to compare available processes. Request design changes before approving production; cost and timing depend on the production stage.
